It's quite difficult to describe one's self. I'm always changing and growing. My life has taken far more curves in the road than I would have ever guessed.
I'm a middle aged +++lady and am a Critical Care Nurse. I divorced after 26 years of marriage. I have two children, who live on their own and 4 dogs and a cat (who live with me). This is the first time I've ever lived alone (without another person) and while it has been an adjustment and takes getting used to, I do love it.
Was engaged a few years ago to a con artist with a fancy Pedigree. Yes really! He had two PhD's and his Aunt won a Nobel Prize for Research in Medicine. He owned a few companies, a Vineyard, has published some textbooks and was brilliant! But also a crook! We got engaged on Christmas and on Dec 29th he he took someone else out and then divided his time between us for two months until he was sent to a Federal Prison! He had neglected to tell me he was involved with the Nigerian Underworld and we were followed by them as well as the Secret Service. Sounds preposterous I know but, all true. I am collaborating with someone on a book about him. One day out of the blue, I received a call from his attorney telling me he was in jail. Then I found out the other things such as he had a wife and another fiancee. Woops! Could write volumes about this escapade.
Life is too short to be surrounded by negativity! So, I am trying to make my life positive and as calming as possible.
Knitting and almost anything to do with yarn and or fiber really calms me and makes me feel peaceful.
My dream is to have a small farm with Alpaca and Sheep and spend the remainder of my life secluded, allowing only those I choose in. But since I have to pay the bills I still work.
In the meantime I am having fun knitting and making new friends through my knitting.
Yarn, Kntting and more yarn! Reading is another passion although by the time I read the my Nursing Journals there is little time to read anthing else.
